This forms the first essential step on the route to BS7799 certification, the British Standard for Information Security. The HealthCheck combines a programme of rigorous investigation with robust analysis and clear reporting in order to assess the information security threats to which your organisation may be exposed. This positions your organisation against best practice, as defined by BS7799.

Following the HealthCheck, ISL can provide guidance and hands-on assistance with developing an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The ISMS provides a business-focused, common-sense and practical approach to safeguarding information according to the principles and specifications set out in BS7799. Following the development and implementation of your ISMS, your organisation can then become certified to BS7799 by registering your ISMS with our partner, the British Standards Institute (BSI).

An effective ISMS requires monitoring, periodic review, maintenance and on-going improvement. To facilitate this process, ISL have designed the Partner Scheme. This involves an annual audit and re-assessment of your ISMS with a focus on ensuring that the system is supporting the business effectively and meeting the requirements of BS7799.
