Information Standards Limited (ISL) is a professional
practice specialising in information standards and quality.
Following the development and testing stages of its core
product over a 2-year period, ISL was incorporated
in 2002 with the objective of providing expert advice and
implementation capabilities for Information Security Management
Systems (ISMS).
ISL have developed the HealthCheck,
which combines a programme of rigorous investigation with
robust
analysis and clear reporting in order to assess the information
security threats to which an organisation may be exposed.
The aim of this is to position an organisation against BS7799,
which sets out the requirements for an Information Security
Management System (ISMS).
This is undertaken using the methodology for risk assessment
setout in BS8444 (Risk
Assessment for Technological Systems). ISL
then provides
a comprehensive road map to implement the ISMS and
achieve compliance and certification.
